Product Description

The S688 AC leakage current clamp meter measures AC leakage and load currents up to 1000 A, with current resolution down to 0.01 mA. Its large 88 mm × 88 mm jaw provides access around large conductors and the flat grounding conductors specified in the datasheet.

The corner-opening jaw helps position the clamp in crowded installations. A Permalloy core, automatic ranging, data hold and memory for 99 sets support repeated current checks and on-device result review.

Is the S688 an AC or DC current meter?

The specification lists AC leakage-current and AC current measurement, with automatic 50/60 Hz detection. DC current measurement is not listed.

Which conductor sizes are listed?

The jaw is 88 mm × 88 mm. The datasheet lists an 88 mm round cable or a 96 mm × 4 mm flat steel grounding conductor; fit must be checked for the actual conductor arrangement.

Can readings be saved and reviewed?

Does 0.01 mA resolution mean 0.01 mA accuracy?
