Product Description
The EAGLOTEST S456 PRO is a portable three-phase transformer turns ratio tester for factory testing, commissioning and maintenance. It measures turns ratio, polarity, phase deviation and excitation current, with automatic three-phase testing and tap-position recording.
A 5.6-inch touchscreen provides access to test settings and results, while internal memory stores up to 500 test records. The Bluetooth app enables remote test control, and PC software supports data review and Excel reporting.
Technical FAQ
Which transformer types can the S456 PRO test?
The S456 PRO supports three-phase, single-phase and Z-type transformers, as well as supported PT/VT and CT ratio tests. Use the test mode and connection diagram specified in the current user manual for each asset.
What is the difference between Normal Test and Blind Test?
Normal Test uses known nameplate and vector-group data to compare the measured ratio with the expected ratio. Blind Test helps identify an unknown vector group from measured phase relationships. Confirm the suggested group against the transformer data.
Is a neutral connection required for three-phase S456 PRO testing?
For the standard three-phase connection shown in the S456 PRO manual, no separate neutral lead is used. Connections depend on the winding arrangement and test mode. Follow the model-specific connection diagram and the approved isolation and test procedure.
Is the same turns ratio accuracy specified across the full range?
No. The specified limits are ±(0.1% of reading + 3 digits) in the lower ratio ranges, ±(0.2% of reading + 3 digits) at midrange and ±(0.3% of reading + 3 digits) at higher ratios. See the Datasheet table for the exact range and resolution.
How can S456 PRO test results be saved and exported?
The instrument stores up to 500 test records. Saved results can be exported to a USB flash drive, and the PC software supports data review and Excel reporting. The Bluetooth app also supports remote test control.
