Product Description
The EAGLOTEST S453 is a portable, battery-powered contact resistance tester (micro-ohmmeter) with DC test currents up to 220 A. It is designed for testing circuit breaker and switchgear contacts, busbar joints and other low-resistance electrical connections. Four-wire Kelvin measurement reduces the influence of test-lead resistance, with a resolution of 0.01 µΩ.
Eight current presets and 2.5 A fine adjustment support different testing requirements. Quick mode is available across the supported current settings; 10–60 s timed tests are available at 100 A or below. A 5.6-inch colour LCD displays results, while up to 999 test records can be stored and exported using the Bluetooth Android app or USB PC software.

How should I select the test current on the S453?
The S453 provides eight presets: ≤5 A, 10 A, 30 A, 50 A, 80 A, 100 A, 200 A and 220 A, with 2.5 A fine adjustment across up to 87 levels. Select the current according to the equipment manufacturer's instructions and test procedure. The measurement range depends on the selected current; at 220 A, the specified range is 0.01–500 µΩ.
Can the S453 run a 10–60 s test at 220 A?
No. Currents above 100 A support Quick mode only. At 100 A or below, the S453 offers Quick mode or timed tests of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 seconds.
Does 0.01 µΩ resolution mean 0.01 µΩ accuracy?
No. Resolution is the smallest displayed increment; accuracy is the specified measurement error. Within the specified 30–220 A measurement ranges, accuracy is ±(reading × 0.1% + range × 0.2% + 1 µΩ). Refer to the Datasheet for current-specific measurement limits and the accuracy specifications at lower currents.
How are S453 test results stored and exported?
The S453 automatically stores up to 999 test records. Results can be reviewed and exported through the Bluetooth Android app or USB PC software; the Android app supports Excel export. An optional thermal printer is available for on-site printouts.
